Happy Half Birthday to ANK!

Today is the Half Birthday of Amy's Nutritarian Kitchen!  I am finally back to my normal self now that I have been juicing, and feel ready to get started with eating a more strict nutritarian diet.  Unfortunately, school (and life) have been insanely busy for me lately, and I have no good recipes to share with you today.
However, I do have a great link that you definitely need to check out: Hungry for a Change.  Through this link you can register your email and get a free link to watch the movie, it is definitely worth it!  I found it to be very inspirational and hit on a couple of bad habits of mine, such as putting myself down when I look in the mirror, and making bad choices when I'm bored or depressed.  I'm planning on watching it one more time before the free online premiere ends on March 31st and giving you guys my summary about it.  Until then, hope you guys are having a good start to your week and are living plant-strong!

If you watch the movie, let me know what your take on it is!

  1. i watched this movie the other night. I thought it was a great film that everyone should see at least once. The greatest part of the film was how it focused on the consumption of WHOLE foods, not just VEGAN foods. Although I consider myself a strict vegan who abstains from all animal products, I am now starting to define myself as someone who eats more WHOLE foods. This film does a great job about promoting why whole food are best and how processed foods trash our bodies.

    1. Shelby, I agree with you that I liked how the movie emphasized whole foods as part of a vegan diet. Whenever I tell people that I'm mostly vegan, they like to focus their comments on how I don't eat meat or animal products, but I like to refocus the conversation back to what I do eat: whole plant based foods that are full of nutrients that help my body thrive. For me it's not about what I'm missing eating, but about what I get to eat, and all the benefits of those. Thanks for reading, Amy
